Punk Music
Punk music was a new musical movement, that bands like the Ramones and Sex Pistol was part of. Punk music became big in the United Kingdom, mainly because of the Sex Pistols and their popular song "God Save The Queen." The punk community were anarchist and nihilism. They had no religious practices and were against following the rules. They did not care about the consequences of their actions. Punk music usually sound angry and dark. The artists don't focus much on rhythm because they just want to get to the point and let their voice be heard about things they don't like.

Hey Ya
Hey Ya is a very upbeat and energetic song (and has a fast signature), but according to Andre, it is about the difficulty in keeping a relationship together. The lyrics seemed as if each line was a catchphrase. Andre played every instrument in the song except for the bass, which is pretty cool.

On Dec. 13, Beyoncé released her fifth studio album “BEYONCÉ” with no promotion. There were no billboards, no interviews, not even a promotional single. The album met with incredible success, becoming the second most downloaded album of 2013 on iTunes within a week of release. One of the biggest parts of “BEYONCÉ” is its visual aspect. The album comes with 14 songs and 17 accompanying music videos. The videos are an amazing addition to the album’s feel. Every song and every video has something different to offer, and another story to tell.

Reggae pt. 2
I find the people of Reggae interesting, meaning the rastas. The Rastafari movement, or Rasta, is a religious movement that accepts Haile Selassie I, the former Emperor of Ethiopia, as God incarnate, whom they call JAH . He is also seen as part of the Holy Trinity as the messiah promised in the Bible to return. Rastafari is not a highly organized way of life. Many Rastafari do not claim any sect or denomination, and encourage one another to find faith and inspiration within themselves
Reggea
The historical context The Harder They Come is that Jimmy Cliff sung that song for the soundtrack of the movie The Harder They Come that he also had a featured role in. The song is about social injustice and police oppression and brutality. In Is This Love Marley is speaking on-on-one with a special woman. The song became one of the best known Marley songs. The musical element that provides interest are rhythm and blues. Rhythm and blues replaced mento.
